designhero
Noticed this since 6.1.5 Black drop shadows from photoshop no longer show up as black, but as white. Have tried various fixes in photoshop (changing size, blend mode to normal, opacity) nothing seems to get it to look correctly once placed in Watchtout. I had experiences it once or twice before back in version 6.0.2 with 1920 x 1080 files, but was able to fix it changing the PSD file to 1921 x 1080. No longer the case. mindopera
I'm seeing the same issue. Not sure how the fix it either.
Vollmers
Have tried to change the media setting? I'm referring to how WO sees the image file. I had a similar issue, and changed from auto to straight alpha. That did the trick for me.
Mike Fahl
Try selecting "premultiplied by white" for the problematic image, to see if that fixes the problem. If so, it sounds like WATCHOUT's automatic alpha type detection isn't working properly. Mike
DavidPatrick
Have you tried adjusting the Transparency method on the media element in the Media Bin? We've found "Auto" doesn't always pick the best option.
Vollmers
That's exact my point. Couldn't get the alpha to act like it should, but after I changed the media setting it worked as I designed it.
mindopera
OK, that works for me. It's a little clumsy to go through all my media and change that dialogue box. Is there a reason that a psd file wouldn't read as created? Is there a global way to handle it? I drag and drop a lot of media in the media bin. I'm using 6.1.
cowboyclint
Just adding on to this topic. I'm using 6.1.6 and I had to change 1000 PSD files from auto to Premultiplied with white yesterday. I'm hoping the auto-tune gets turned back on. Thanks.
