  1. There's nothing much I can do with the version since the decision to update it doesn't depend on me. I managed to rescue the project from an older autosave, but it's good to know that you can also do it from the Display computer
  2. Yes, I can open a blank new show in the production computer. WO version is 6.1.6
  3. Something weird has happened to my project on the production computer. I had it open when a power failure occured. After restarting the computer and opening Watchout, it asked me to load an autosave that was more recent. I clicked yes and the computer froze. I forced restart again and tried to open the original project file directly, but the computer keeps crashing. Have any case like this happened before? Any clues?
  4. My initial idea was to automate a screenshot every X seconds just to inform the remote controller user what is playing. It doesn't need to be realtime since there are no critical contents involved.
  5. Unfortunately that's not an option for me because my display consists in 4 screens so if I did that I'd be only having 1/4 of the image.
  6. Hello: Is there any way in which I can get a screenshot or a preview of the contentn that is being played in the display computer? I am building a remote control interface and would love to have an "almost" realtime preview inside.
  7. I'm using Aftercodecs to encode my .mp4 files since it offers the best quality/size ratio for my 8k screens. As for now I've been using auto GOP but... Is there any recommended value for this kind of resolution?
  8. Could you post some examples of the patterns you can generate with this software? I usually don't feel very comforable installing software from untrusted sources without any references.
  9. Looks like I have no way of obtaining information about EDID. According to Nvidia, this information should be in the "workstation" area of the control panel but I don't have that on my setup. https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3569/~/managing-a-display-edid-on-windows
  10. Each display is conected to an independent exit of the GPU and the signal travels through an HDMI over ethernet extender. I wouldn't blame it on GPU settings because there have been no changes or updates.
  11. I am having this issue from 2 weeks ago. My setup consists on a production computer and a display computer connected to 4 screens that make a rectangular display wall. Both are running WO 6.1.6. What is happening is that, randomly, the last screen of the series connected to the Display computer is missaligning, the image starts drawing like 10 lines lower than the rest. In the production computer everything seems fine and there are no chages. There have been no updates or new software installed in any of the computers. This problem randomly appears and dissapears without any sign or warning. Any clues on what could be happening?
  12. Would you happen to know any apps for Windows that support that kind of mode?
  13. I'm trying to setup an automatic screenshot system to control what's playing on the display computer using this app https://www.donationcoder.com/software/mouser/popular-apps/automatic-screenshotter It works but it only captures the windows with the dataton logo, even when I have configured it to capture the full desktop. Any ideas of what could be happening or any other way that could help me achieve that? PS: I've noticed that I can capture the output correctly using the "print screen" key.
  14. I though that one solution could be creating a variable that starts with the same value as the input and stores the changes at the same time they are modified, but that could be problematic if Watchout restarts for some reason, right?
  15. There is a command to give inputs a value but... Is there any other to get the current value of an input? Or maybe a way for the setInput command to send back the value after the applied modification?
  16. It is a custom LED 7K screen that is always on. I don't think it is a power issue either.
  17. I'm afraid I cannot change the switch because the network and most of the infrastructure is managed by the corporation. If it's not a WO issue I think I have to go with it and disguise the error as much as we can.
  18. It does also lag executing the commands directly from Putty. Something that gives me a clue that this is not related to the commands themselves is that all my videos and images start with a 2s fade in and I don't get to see the fade, so it's like the videos start playing at least 2 seconds after they should do.
  19. At first that was my idea, but it happens with all kind of media, from 500mb mp4 files to 1,5mb pngs. Although I don't think loading times are the problem, can I do something to preload the files? Could manual preroll help? Note that my setup consists on a timeline with different control cues that I run on demand.
  20. In my actual setup we have created a web controller to play the show cues. Whenever I send the command to play the cues, there is a noticeable lag on the video start, but it doesn't happen everytime on every cue, seems to be a little random. There are no error messages in the log so I cannot figure out what is going on. Also the problem manifests with every kind of formats and codecs (so far I have used .mp4 and .mov with h264 and HAP codecs). Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_rtm.101119-1850) Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.6GHz Memory: 16384MB RAM Available OS Memory: 16302MB RAM Page File: 2056MB used, 47010MB available Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 Manufacturer: NVIDIA Chip type: GeForce GTX 970 DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC Display Memory: 3710 MB Dedicated Memory: 4007 MB Shared Memory: 3798 MB
  21. I have been testing with your recommendations and the error continues. It seems that it sometimes doesn't recognize the command but other does, being exactly the same input all the times.
  22. The show is already loaded since the command is sent directly to the visualization computer. As stated before, other commands do work. There is an input labeled CVol. Also, the error is referencing the function setInput, which seems to be causing it, not the parameters of the command.
  23. Ready "6.1.6" "WATCHPOINT" "Windows" true authenticate 1 setInput "CVol" 1 1000 Error 7 0 "Unrecognized command: setInput" I'm trying to control my setup as follows. Other commands like gotoControlCue and run work fine, but I can't get this one to work. Any clues? Thanks in advance. PS: I know we are some versions behind but updating is not an option since this is controlled by the IT department.
