Don't expect a straight forward answer. If something like the video, you don't even need the Titan to control the lights, WO can output DMX and serve as the light desk. Also WO can output MIDI and TCP so Ableton should be an easy one to, again WO can output audio so maybe you don't need ableton.... Seems to me you have a lot of reading to do. Or contact one of Dataton partners and ask for a project. What I see on the video can be done with just WO and DMX and MIDI interface.

Try to put the LOOP Cue one or two frames before the end of the media Cue. Don't use the Snap function.

Im working on a project the needs a button control to trigger some WO actions. Can you guys recommend any thing similar to X-keys® XK-24 USB Keypad. The panel will be used by a vision mixer operator so I rather have broadcast type buttons. Thanks

Make sure you have the capture card in the screen machine, not just the production pc. Make sure that the capture card is working by running the card's capture software. After this Make sure you select the correct SDI video settings in the production pc. ...and try and try again until succeed.

Yeah. V5. On my experience 24 stills around 1920x1080 was to much for DYS. DYS seems to keep an whatchdog on the pictures folders and files, and will update the cluster if something changes on to this folders/files. And doing this for 24+ files was at the time a problem, crashing, slow update or no update at all. I would like to see more and more possibilities of interaction via TCP, UDP with WO.

No, for that I would need dynamic image server. The app changes only the, next pictures as the cue load, not the one currently on screen. Im using URL proxy, to load from a local web server, this way we can use as many pictures as we want as the pictures are only load upon each cue play, contrary to dynamic image server that is permanently updating, creating big stress on the network and server machine.

When ever I have time lines that may be difficult to start synced across more than one display, always start it from pause and never go to stop, if the media gets to the end cursor will jump back to the pause cue.

Nope, not using Dynamic Image server but rather nginx. Dynamic Image server fails handle many files at the same time, and it an extra licence. Nginx in this case, where the update can be done with a Cue, is OK. We use a control app to help using nginx to deliver slide shows with pictures. The app loads the pictures in the order we wana run the slideshow, moves it to the right server folder, resizes, renames and converts to .PNG. WO just need to display the pictures. Wiesemann the main reason for the app is to prevent the show update. All possibilities are created previously and can be called and managed using a mix of simultaneous TCP commands. The app can execute many generic inputs at once run/stop media, control opacity, position, size, ...

The control app in this studio helps operators to create, on the fly, a starting list for the teams playing the match and display the list in an animated sequence onver the 30 individual screens, there is the option to also show the team coachs in the central videowall. SDI and the 4mm background LED medias are also possible as the background city changes accordingly to the time of the day the match is played. Also a daily media time line was created and a control for it on app, we use this for specific to the day match videos and pictures. This time line is cleanded in the end of each day. Again all the updates on the app are made automatically when connecting with the cluster. All this can be made without updating WO. Studio 9A has a litle bit more equipment. Hey, Don't know if this is the case, but I had problems with TCP and UDP connection when sending more than one string simultaneously. Placing the cues in different places on the time line helped. Ex: Cue 1 @ 0.010 Cue 2 @ 0.050

Hey all, Id like to share some of the control apps me and my buddy created for Bein Sports studios in Doha. Its not a complex studio to operate, and the app makes it even easier/faster. All of the operators running the screens never seen or heard ff WO before coming here so not having to interact directly with WO timelines and controls is a charm for them. In one of the videos you can see that we can update the control app directly from the display cluster. What I mean is that when ever we add a new team, players or any other cue to WO the app will connect with the display cluster and auto update it self. I decided to always keep the production running and use the app to control the production rather than control the cluster directly. This makes it easier and faster to add any last minute changes to the show. We create custom apps for each studio and each show, some are a lot more complicated than others and with more functions. Steve Farris inspired me to put some VB.net code together, so I come up with this small app. It connects to the display cluster and sends Display Cluster Protocol commands when "T" or "Y" key is pressed. Command and Timeline name can be set in the text box. I think all is self explanatory. The last version of the NEC X464UN are know for having "problems" on the DVI capture card, if the signal is not perfect picture will flicker. NEC X464UN dont like long cables, and as longer the cable lower the resolution/refresh rate they will take. Signal extender must be used or a smaller cable.

How is the update to v6 made on the Watchpax ?

Will the V6 be free update or we need a new dongle ?

Why don't you just tryout the system before the show. Plug in 4 monitors and run the show to see rig capabilities ... But if only camera capture on the side screens why use a WO here? Any way, regardless of the rig specs I would feel safer with 2 machines one for the central screen and the other for the side screens. Its the way I build my projects.

I've recently updated some machines to 5.5.2 and ever since I can't get the thumbnails to show WO. I can see the thumbs under win7. Projects started under 5.5.1 show the old thumbs, but if I start a new project and use the same videos thumbs will not show on WO. Any ideas ?? Thanks

My experience with codec pack is terrible. One of my "new, newbie" suppliers once installed a codec pack with out me knowing. This created random problems in to video playback, only by making a new windows installation the problem was solved.
