  1. A lot as changed since My previous post about controlling WO. At the moment Im using X-keys XK-60 usb keyboard to control some shows to be able to do this I've coded an small app that reads the keys on the XK-60 and sends whatever message to WO. Check the video. video demo video demo
  2. Active way to lock WO to a certain NIC in multiple NICs systems.
  3. I'm using 8K videos for the WorldCup shows. Needed to upgrade the SSDs to NVMe PCI, as SATA SSD is to slow, Im using Corsair neutron NX500 800gb. But still decided to split in 4x 4K because Im using 2 machines to play. Each machine is using 2 outputs @60fps on Firepro W7100, this card only makes 3x 4k@60fps. One of the 1.8mm LED takes 4 input the other 5. This way I get more headroom to mix backgounds and add alpha stuff on top. video video Pics
  4. ...or you can use robocopy, and create a task with task scheduler to run a .bat at pc start up and copy everything to a different location.
  5. The only difficulty I see on your project is capture PC A to WO machine. I don't know what PC A is. But can't you use just one pc with WO to run the media minimizing the hardware cost ? WO with AMD W9000 can do the trick for the 6 output.
  6. Hi Miro can you please share win 7 embedded template used in Watchmax. I know drivers will be different, I'm interested in apps and services mandatory for WO6 display. Thanks
  7. Have you tried Keysticks ? http://keysticks.net/site/default.aspx
  8. Maybe some codec pack is installed on the display pc ! Use EDID emulation whenever possible. Sorry for your show, thats the worse nightmare.
  9. Yes is sync enough for most LED screens, but its not frame sync. Only once I really needed the S400 for an LED screen and that was a time I need to run some horizontal text across the all screen. To be on the safe side I would use the S400 anyway.
  10. You can only manage 6 different output, for 12 you need 2 Watchmax with AMD FirePro W9100 or similar. Sure some one here will explain further more
  11. From my experience if audio video sync is critical I use one of the displays to output audio. Otherwise production is fine.
  12. Im using flashing red to timeline play and no color for time line stop. All this is done on the app. The app is like the middle man, receives the button press, sets the color os the button and sends the command to WO. There is no real feed back from WO, its possible to implement, but we don't need it. Edit to add the video. Sorry about the sound, but its there only low. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5YTMT4DnRA
  13. I'm using xkeys with a custom .net interface. Xkeys to the app.net and TCP to the production.
  14. I've been using instantshell for years. Didn't try with 10 yet, let me know if it works. www.gameex.com/download/instantsheller.zip
  15. The picture you see on stage is actually a capture from a camera in the studio showing the video wall. What you see is the display PC.
  16. Im sorry guys if Im not clear when trying to put out my case, and the sound is not the best. I got the problem isolated now. Anyway, I think this last video clearly shows a software problem as well as the hardware reaching its limits. Also I sharing the project in dropbox if you wana give it a run and see if you can replicate the problem. It includes the project file and the media. All around 700Mb https://www.dropbox.com/s/ab43bknonhyakpa/10%20of%20the%20sabe%20file%20bugg.rar?dl=0 Why I do this ? To much free time and its fun messing around with the software and hardware trying to crash it, I believe its the best way to know the limits. I have 70 displays, 90 watchpax and 20 people operating it and creating problems every day, I better know the limits of the system and what I can and cannot do. Morgan Wang Its the exact same is I use 10kbs. I've tried. Adata SP900 Gigabyte Z77 D3H https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZS32gCtEtC8 Hope this clears it.
  17. I don't think some of you are getting thats happening here. Take another look to the 1st video and and this new one. And still remains the question. Why 60 videos at the same time, OK? Why 15 videos ate the same time, OK? Why 15 videos one at the time not OK? Why 10 of a kind + 10 different + 10 different OK and not 30 of the same not OK? Vollmers Im using HAP 55.3Mbs but tried with MPEG-2 and its exactly the same, only I can play more files if HAP. Tried the composition and behaves the same way. mindopera The purpose is to find limitation on the software and on the hardware. In this case is clearly a software limitation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNeURaokJ8c&feature=youtu.be
  18. This is no heavy load at all. And there's nothing normal about this. Why can I only play 10 instances of the same video ? This is not a display load problem as I can play many other files as long as it not the same. Why is that if I start the same file all at the same time it can run over 100 windows, But if the file start at different times there's a limit of 10 instances ? No mater if the file is placed 1second apart or in random order there is always a limit of 10 instances of the same file.
  19. Hello all, Here something I found regarding the use of the same video more that 10 times. Appreciate your comments. Thanks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7pEPlhJBvs&feature=youtu.be
  20. Double check that you are using the V6 doongle Display PC.
  21. I the quad 2 and its working perfect. Also have other BM models all work flawless.
  22. Yes Thomas ist a capture from the studio. I understand it burns needed resources, it's being used here to simplify the screen capture and I can show all in just one frame. We don't use this on normal Wachout operation. You Production PC is as strong guy, i7 5820k, 16GB, 2 SSD, W7000. The stuttering is not on the production stage or the capture card, is on the display and the resources monitor graphics also belong to the display, that by the way is the weakest of all we have. I've chosen this specific machine to test the advantage or not of using v6 and HAP vs the v5 and the other codecs. And seems like HAP can ressurect my weakest machines. MPEG 2 as proven always to be the best choice but as this specific display reached the limit the option was to replace and move it to a more "gentle position". I have over 70 display PC and over 100 wachpax on v5 so updating to v6 is quite a sum and must be worthy more than just a new interface as we don't use any of the 3d or mapping functions. I need indesputable reasons to get the funding. Yes Erik, on the MPEG 2 GOP15 I was using Bframes, will try it today and post the results of only i and p frames closed GOP. Thanks for the advice.
  23. Hello all, Check how the different codecs affect performance on a certain machine. Im using 4 DisplayPort outputs at 1920x1080. CPU i5 3450 RAM 8 GB HDD 1TB system SSD 60GB Corsair Force 3 GPU FirePro V7900 Windows 7 Pro Wachout 6.1.5 All the videos use the same media except for the codec on of the background movie. Used codecs for background are: MPEG 2 GOP15 @33Mbs MPEG 2 iFrame only @50Mbs H264 AVC @7.972kbs HAP @374Mbs The 6 flags showing on top of the background are Animation+. Each flag is a file. Check the resources as I load more media. MPEG 2 runs good for the most, stuttering from time to time. H264 crashed Wachout as RAM use goes above 4GB HAP run great. Please give me your opinion and reviews. Why is the MPEG 2 stuttering ? SSD use is low 60Mbs max, CPU and GPU also very low. Why is H264 crashing Wachout ? MPEG 2 GOP15 @33Mbs MPEG 2 iFrame only @50Mbs H264 AVC @7.972kbs HAP @374Mbs Comments please
  24. The CPU as 40 PCIe lanes but you don't mention the motherboard model. Make sure that the motherboard can supply PCIe x8 to the Vision cards. Try just one card installed and different PCIe slots. Try to enable the DirectGMA on the Firepro software, dont know if the VisioSC is compatible, some Datapath cards are. And sure you must try a different source
  25. It would be very good if Dataton creates a show with light, medium and heavy hardware stress to be able o compare and test different configurations.
