  1. I experienced almost the same thing, connecting 2 monitors with an active adapter (displayport > HDMI) and a third one DVI > DVI. Guess what, the DVI did not flicker. wondering what that is about... cheers
  2. Hi there, How does one light a 3D-Object in WO6? Any plans to add 3d lights? I know I could bake a texture with lights in Cinema4D and bring that in, but it is not the same. cheers. U
  3. Hi, I am just playing around with videos as textures on an imported 3DS object in WO 6.1.4 (production only) and noticed, that the video I am applying has audio, which I can not turn off anywhere. I know I can get rid of the audio and import that clip again. Just wondering how to do that inside WO. Even turning off "Play Audio Media" in the Preview menu does not mute it. And there is no Volume-tween I can apply. Feature-request or Big-fix.... cheers. U
  4. Hi TomT, that's what i did yesterday... cheers
  5. too happy too early.... I saw the wrong file playing smoothly, a wmv of the same clip as the mp4 which still does not play... So that "Tablet PC inking error..." is still there. Sad...
  6. Thank you a lot RBeddig. That was it, should have thought of it myself..... Now if only I could find the person that had turned that pesky Windows Media Player back on.... Who does that? thx again (also to Dataton for having this great forum!) and cheers
  7. hm, looks like the screenshot didn't get attached.
  8. Hi all, Surface Pro 3, only 4 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, Windows 10 (Creators Update), Watchout 6.14 (or 6.16... tried them both) I am a little helpless here..., I have a gotten a very weird error messages recently. It says: Operating System Error: "Tablet PC inking error code. The property was not found, or supported by the recognizer; Can't read media file" At the same time all mp4 videos that used to play for "years" or that were just created, don't play anymore, in fact I get that message when adding them to the timeline. Instead of an image i just get an icon on the stage. See attached screenshot. And just to mention it, I do not use the Surface Pro for actual production, just for preparing, testing etc. plus, it all worked before. maybe someone can help here? cheers uw
  9. Hi all, Sometimes someone else has created or modified a show one has to deal with. It could then happen, that there are items in the media window, you cant delete, because they are in use somewhere. Maybe a rightclick on a media-item in the media-window could "trigger" a popup-window that reveals a list of timelines/compositions where that specific media-item is being used. Selecting/opening that timeline/composition would even enhance this idea. cheers,
  10. Hi, I just read the Zotac Magnus would not support Win7 anymore. cheers
  11. Hi there. 1. Please bring back "minimize" and "un-minimize" of individual windows inside the watchout v6.x window. It was useful and made a lot of sense - at least to me. 2. Please introduce "customizing of interface colors". Maybe just brightness for certain elements (background, frame of windows and the playheadline. 3. Please introduce small "handles" for screens, when they are of the same size and position (for example as backups), to make it easier to select them. cheers and thanks in advance. U
  12. Hi, first of all, if possible get some ups that shuts down the machines in case of loosing power. you could also try copying the show on the the display-machine to a different location so you can copy it back when the original-show is lost. Might save some time. cheers and good luck
  13. Hi Claude, hi all, which version of watchout are you referring to with your 50 something streams of HD (etc). Plus, I admit I am jealous! cheers
  14. Wouldn't the logfile on the display-machine tell something more detailed about why the connection was lost? cheers.
  15. Hi, check this out. http://www.universe-control.com/index-en.html And no, I am not related in any way. Cheers.
  16. Hi, the first thing I noticed is you mentioned Windows 10. This will probably not work, at least not for the display-computers, as of July 2016. Please read the second thread from the top of this forum. cheers
  17. Hi, try using the dynamic image server. It serves and WO displays the image shortly after being saved into the designated folder. cheers
  18. Hi Alex, I always do that but, the placement of the "jump"- or the "play"- cue seems to not make any difference. cheers
  19. And maybe you could sell it to the rest of us.... keep posting. cheers
  20. Hi, up to the current version of Watchout 5.5.2, this aux-timeline-bug (some may call it feature..) is in place! No matter if it is one still or multiple, moving or not. It shows the underlying timeline for about one frame. But not for the whole output, just a part of it. And yes, this is repeatable with different machines. And looks horrible on a big LED-wall. https://www.dropbox.com/s/0m1w2cjyumpb0xd/Aux-timeline.jpeg?dl=0 Maybe someone can fix this, please?
  21. Hi, have you tried the same using watchout 5.x ? Just to check?
  22. Well, ry to make the TC signal even louder than it is. You can plug it into an ios app instead of watchout to test the signal. I use the "Clockit Timecode App" on ipad. It can use the microphone (you have to allow access to it). to "listen" to timecode or a cable plugged in. Good luck
  23. What is the source of your timecode? Can you hear that signal at some point? It sounds kind of like the "good old" modem dial up-noise.
  24. Hmmm, sounds like some real insider-stuffs here... @Alex, in your youtube-video "studio5c control-app2" one can see cues named like "1.png", showing a question mark. What kind of cues are they? Ani image Proxy? This all looks very interesting. Cheers..
