  1. Very nice. When you update the show, doesnt it interrupt playback? That is one of the most irritating and disturbing issues for me. regards.
  2. Try baking the textures in C4D. regards Uwe
  3. Hi, is anyone using a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 as a production-computer successfully and would recommend it? Or is that a really bad idea? I am thinking of getting one for use with Watchout 5.x/6 and Ventuz (not at the same time:-) eventually... I see that screen-estate is tiny and would hook up one or more extra displays, if needed. Best regards, Uwe Wiesemann
  4. Hi, no matter what, even with a nonmoving still it was doing that.
  5. Hi again, Is it possible, that AUX-timelines are especially "vulnerable" to these sync-issues? I've had some simple compositions with still-images moving and cross-dissolving slowly, placed into AUX-timelines. At the end of that loop the timeline was made to jump back to a specified cue and play again from there. One half of that composition became transparent for the duration of a frame or so on that moment of jumping to that cue. One would see a "flash" of whats underneath in the main timeline. The same with a movie (mp4). When i put those compositions into the main timeline, the issue was gone. This made me modify the compositions/timelines to a length where they didnt have to loop anymore, cause they would play hours.... All this was with WO 5.5.2, even with a synch card installed. Display-machines from a rental-company. Cheers,
  6. Hi, how do the Watchpax2 systems behave concerning this synch-issue? Are the outputs of one machine really in synch? What about The Watchmax? Haven't worked with them yet. cheers.
  7. Hi, I would like to have a timeline that contains stills that are dissolving in and out while they are slightly moving. Either scaling and/or panning. I want to control the starting time of each dissolve by playing and pausing the timeline before and after each dissolve. When pausing I want the scaling/panning to continue, so I thought of using the formula-function instead of fixed tweens. Is there something like "scale from 85% to 92% and back in 50 seconds" or "pan from 4554 to 5123 and back in 120 seconds"? I know I could use some external control like midi but then I would have the same issue there.. Or would this be a case for free running timelines? cheers Uwe Wiesemann
  8. Hi all, is there a diredct way to use OSC (iPad-apps) to control faders or other parameters in Watchout? Cheers, Uwe ------
  9. Hi all. My wishes would be: - Add kerning in the text-module, like in AfterEffects. - Add the ability to switch the timeline to "real" frames and snap to those - Add stepping in the timeline framewise with some keyboardshortcut. Very often I am asked to show a client some transition/section framewise... - Add "handles" or tabs on the displays on the stage (or maybe a rightclick-dropdown list). When stacking two or more displays exactly on top of each other, it takes time to select and work one of them. - Add a different kind of cues, that can be used for naming/marking areas of the timeline. Call them Markers, Notes or something. As of now I am using play-cues for that, but they are being loaded into the iphone WO-remote as well and I end up with a whole lot more play/pause cues than actually needed. - Enabling/disabling single cues (like "ctrl B" in FinalCut) to quickly take some thing out of the show temporarily. - Limit export of video/audio to quicktime to the actual screens as an option - Make the dissolve of "standby" a real dissolve between the show and the standby layers. At the present it is fading all layers down and the stby-layer up. This is always visible and irritating. - Save the position/size and arrangement of the production-software window within the project or as seperate setups. At present, when using a second monitor, I have to rearrange after turning off/on. - Make the show folder of a display machine "transportable" in some way. At present they seem to be locked to their original IP-adress. I wanted to test some things with a show(folder) on a different machine and the iphone-WO-remote, but couldnt because of the different IP-address, I believe. Maybe by editing a textfile inside that folder? I guess that's all that comes to mind right now. All the best. Uwe Wiesemann
  10. Hi, maybe too late, but anyway. First thing that came into my mind was using MIDI... I found this on the web. Have not tried it, of course.. http://www.midilite.com/midipresenter/ Tell us how you did it in the end? regards Uwe Wiesemann
  11. I guess I found an answer somewhere else on the forum. I was trying to start the show via iPhone-app on the production-computer (connecting to watchmaker, not watchpoint ..) The showfiles had not been transfered from producion to display, of course. No wonder...
  12. Hi, I am just trying to get the iPhone WO-Remote-app to control a laptop-display computer running Watchpoint (5.3.1, with a dongle attached, of course). I can connect to it. The app shows me folders, where I know the setups (xxz.watch) are located. It wont open any of the setups. In the logfiles I can see, that watchpoint-output saying that the "show doesnt exist"... The shows have the same name as the folders. Bug or feature? What am I doing wrong? Cheers Uwe
