No, that is not true. All WATCHOUT 5 licenses, regardless of appearance, can be electronically upgraded to v6. And there is a good reason to electronically upgrade the licenses shown in your photo - those licenses work with all v5 variants. Newer licenses, like the current MicroKey and some of the silver key variants only work with v5.5.x, while your older key will work with v5.0 and ALL v5 variants.

Unfortunately the post referred to back in 2012 -> Dataton Academy cookbook post with sample code is no longer available online. Show Sage used to actually include the Instagram Dynamic Image Server function in their trade show exhibits and in their Dataton WATCHOUT training years ago. But I can not find any info on it today.

Please indicate the WATCHOUT version when positing questions like this. A caching error would indicating a problem with a still image file. Have you tried editing the still image item in the media list to set the transparency specifically (default is automatic)?

Can’t tell for sure, but it appears you have WDM driver installed, which was required for all versions prior to 6.2 6.2.x+ no longer utilizes WDM, it now requires an ASIO driver for up to 24 channels of output. I am pretty sure all MOTU interfaces offer ASIO drivers, so it may be as simple as updating your audio driver.

Vision and WATCHOUT use different drivers. vision uses a DataPath specific proprietary driver, WATCHOUT requires a universal Microsoft Windows Driver Model (WDM) driver. If it works with Vision and is not available in watchpoint, then it is likely a driver issue.

Yes, Dataton demonstrates real time tracking of a 3D object's X/Y/Z movement in their trade show booth. First time was in February 2018 at ISE, again in June 2018 at InfoComm, again at ISE last month and will show it at INFOCOMM 2019 in June. That method relies on BlackTrax for the tracking system. While the 3D object is rotating, it is actually not on its center axis. During the demo you can grab the model and move it off axis anywhere in the covered area, you can tilt it, stop it, etc. and even as it continues to rotate in the new position, it stays properly aligned. That said, there may be an easier way if the two positions are nailed down. You can run it as two shows. If setup correctly, you can change shows seamlessly, the shows need to pause for the transition, and it should only take about 2-5 seconds paused to make the change. And with some clever programming, you can even have a cue in the first show that starts the second show. So from a work flow perspective, it sounds like it may meet your description.

That is not correct. You have the option to custom edge blend using the Mask tab of the display defintion.

I do not use remote access and have NEVER seen this behavior in WATCHOUT Production (and I always use the keyboard shortcut to place pause or play cues). Is it possible that one of the other shortcuts you are using is also a shortcut for VNC to change the CNTRL+ and CNTRL + SHIFT function? also, might make some sense to indicate WATCHOUT version you are using, as my experience only goes up to 6.2.2

Yes, Dataton has. Depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Performance with Windows 10 will be the same as Windows 7 in most cases and better in some cases (mostly capture card performance differences).

Well yes, Dataton WATCHMAX W9100 later production (the ones with Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB) provides six 4k60p outputs from an AMD FirePro W9100. Of course, that GPU is now discontinued and superseded by the AMD Radeon Pro WX9100.

BTW Those comments were quoted from another post, they are not my comments. No, I have not heard of AMD ever fixing this in the version of DirectX used by WATCHOUT. Does not mean they have not corrected it, I have just never heard reports indicating one way or the other. Possibly the original poster of those comments will see your question and reply here.
