  1. And nothing is changed or updated in your hardware/drivers/Windows/WATCHOUT/Audacity, since it worked last time? I find this hard to believe... As far as I know, Audacity poses no problem for us here. /jonas
  2. It's neither, but a fact (bug?) at the moment. We have to find out, not got around to it yet. /jonas
  3. Maximum capture inputs allowed, in WATCHOUT 5.5.1 is 12. 8 simultaneous captures is possible, as of now. /jonas
  4. Sure. But it's still not any "approved" and tested builds, from us. This is examples and ideas on where to start. We are not doing any extensive research and testing here, this is enterily up to you and/or your hardware supplier, in your market. I'll always suggest to use common sense here, there is only slow evolution going on at the moment, no revolutionary stuff around the corner, that I can see. New model numbers, yes, but only slightly higher specs... /jonas
  5. I think you then need to take the bezel width (translated into pixels) into account, when creating the full size video, but only crop out 1920x1080 pieces from the correct position in the full size video, unfortunately. /jonas
  6. Walter: Between Stage and DisplayPC output is not strange at all to have a difference over time. Stage playback has no priority vs DisplayPC playback, and has never had. This is not the same issue as described, difference between DisplayPC outputs over time, as I see it. /jonas
  7. Hi Frank, Can you supply us with this show, incl. content, to check, at support@dataton.com? /jonas
  8. To use SSD:s is the only recommendation from us since the WATCHOUT 5 launch. /jonas
  9. To use 2 NIC:s on a Production computer, please see here: WATCHOUT production computer with multiple NICs http://forum.dataton.com/topic/668-routed-watchout/?do=findComment&comment=2415 /jonas
  10. Please read this thread, and check that Windows Media Center Features are turned off. http://forum.dataton.com/topic/1225-sound-issue/?do=findComment&comment=4817 /jonas
  11. And if you remove the Cat5-extenders from the equation? (would be our first test, if you supply us a show with content to check, at support@dataton.com) /jonas
  12. It's not some drivers, it's a change in Windows 7 from how they were assigned in Windows XP. Also a reason for using our Channel Assignment Tool. /jonas
  13. Since this card appears to be a consumer version of the AMD FirePro W600, I think this thread applies: http://forum.dataton.com/topic/1086-6-output-display-cards/ /jonas
  14. Your Display software has most likely minimized, probably due to a service in Windows not turned off. What WATCHOUT version are you running? Are these Display machines properly configured and tweaked? http://dataton.com/forum/topic/18-watchout-version-5-and-windows-7-32-or-64-bit/page__view__findpost__p__1526 /jonas
  15. http://forum.dataton.com/topic/1126-dataton-software-earlier-versions-archive/ /jonas
  16. I'm sorry all, but this issue is NOT introduced in the latest version. To turn off Windows Media Center Features and UAC, was the 2 first recommendations we gave for running WATCHOUT 4.2 under Windows 7, in 2010... It has been in our Tweaking list guidelines, since the WATCHOUT 5 launch in June 2011. http://forum.dataton.com/topic/18-watchout-version-5-and-windows-7-32-or-64-bit/ You are of course free to ignore our recommendations and test & try yourself, but they are there for a reason, to help create a base for a stable hardware & software playback platform. /jonas
  17. The tweaks have always been mandatory, since the release of WATCHOUT 5, at least from my point of view, and especially if one wants a stable Windows playback platform. But your mileage may vary... /jonas
  18. - I highly doubt that. This is most likely "prepared last minute" issue, not a compatibility case. - Not specifically, but I would use the latest version, if in trouble. Maybe not install it in the last minute, though... - We are fully aware that Windows 8/8.1 exists. And WATCHOUT 5.5 onwards supports it, but I would stay on Windows 7 for Display computers, if I have a choice. As others mentioned earlier, there are absolutely no benefits for WATCHOUT use. Please share the experience. /jonas
  19. Agreed. http://forum.dataton.com/topic/805-windows-8-tweaks/ /jonas
