  1. If it's empty when opening it in 5.1 and 5.5, I don't think it it will be more info in it when opening it in 5.0. You're sure it's a complete file? /jonas
  2. I'm sorry Daniel, WATCHOUT v4.x.x is not supported or tested under Windows 8/8.1. From v4.2 Windows 7 and 64-bit is supported. It might be possible to use a newer WIBU CodeMeter or WIBUKey driver than what 4.5.1 installs, though. http://www.wibu.com/downloads-user-software.html /jonas
  3. No, WATCHOUT 5.x.x does not support multi-GPU. http://forum.dataton.com/topic/93-wo5-multi-output/ /jonas
  4. Or SSD:s, as highly recommended in all our setup guidelines for multioutput DisplayPC:s. We are not talking genlock here, but graphics card frame-lock. Both AMD FirePro (W7/8/9xxx-series+S400) and NVidia Quadro (K5/6xxx-series+Quadro Sync) can give you this capability. The hardware portion has to be set up before enabling this in WATCHOUT. Please look into this thread here for more info: http://forum.dataton.com/topic/1112-watchout-55-how-to-set-up-frame-lock/ http://forum.dataton.com/topic/1112-watchout-55-how-to-set-up-frame-lock/?do=findComment&comment=4340 http://forum.dataton.com/topic/1112-watchout-55-how-to-set-up-frame-lock/?do=findComment&comment=4382 /jonas
  5. Yes, it will, this is DirectX/Direct3D fullscreen mode, and by design. /jonas
  6. More than one instance of WATCHOUT installed on the Display PC? /jonas
  7. I have no idea. Mike has to chime in here. /jonas
  8. Re: "It is not possible to use MIDI Notes through MSC." As far as I understand his question & setup, he uses MSC from QLab and it works. Then, in order to trigger a task, he tries to set up a MIDI Note Input, through learn, from a non-existent USB MIDI device, which doesn't work. Or am I misinterpreting this? /jonas
  9. It is not possible to use MIDI Notes through MSC. The learn function is designed for a locally connected MIDI device. WATCHOUT can use 1 MIDI device. You may use MSC (MIDI Show Control) to trigger cues and timelines in WATCHOUT. http://forum.dataton.com/topic/1286-midi-interface-for-control-from-sound-computer/ /jonas
  10. Tweaklist applied? Windows Media Center Features turned off? http://forum.dataton.com/topic/1273-mysterious-problem-video-playback-watchout-551/?do=findComment&comment=5063 And preferably, use Windows 7 on a DisplayPC, there is no benefits gained from using Windows 8. /jonas
  11. You'll need to select the appropriate Display first, in the Stage Window, I think. /jonas
  12. 1) - as I said earlier, this is NOT a WATCHOUT issue, but a setup issue. 2) - our strong recommendations still stands, do NOT use any laptop or PC with integrated or hybrid graphics, as a base for a Display computer. 3) - re: One suggestion for this: - Can Dataton communicate with Amd and Nvidia with this problem and ask then to insert Watchout into there list of programs that need their graphic card active as it happens with video games and other programs ? Neither AMD nor NVidia cares much for a small program like WATCHOUT, unfortunately. WATCHOUT on the other hand NEEDS and relies on real, discrete graphics, so please see 2) above. /jonas
  13. Are you running 1 Production machine and 2 Display clusters, Main & Backup? /jonas
  14. Tweaklist applied? Windows Media Center Features turned off? /jonas
  15. Which is mentioned in the tweaklist, unhide... :-) /jonas
  16. One can use the autostart.txt method instead, available since V5.5. Please look here for more information: http://forum.dataton.com/topic/1127-watchpax-autostarttxt-script/ /jonas
  17. Lalindra, Critical missing info: What are the specs of your content? File size in pixels/Codec/Bitrate/Framerate etc Also, Cat5/6-extenders are notoriously suspects in situations like this. Separate EDID Managers like DVI Parrot are very strongly recommended. /jonas
  18. The command "nop" is issued from a WO 5.5.1 or newer Production software (behind the scenes, part of WATCHPAX network discovery mechanism). The answer/error you get is because the Display software doesn't recognize it, ie indicates that the DisplayPC:s are not running 5.5 or older. /jonas
  19. You are aware there is a difference between Windows 7 and how it did work under Windows XP, imposed by Microsoft? This affects Audacity too, of course. Good that it works for you now at least. http://forum.dataton.com/topic/114-watchout-5-and-successful-surroundmultichannel-audio-setup/page-4?do=findComment&comment=4870 /jonas
  20. I think you need to feed us with more information, in order for anyone being able to help out here. - what hardware/software platform? (processor/SSD/graphics card/OS/properly tweaked etc) - what kind of content? (codec/file-size in pixels/bitrate/framerate etc) /jonas
  21. If this is the error message: "Operating system error: -2147467259; unspecified error; Too complex effects" I would guess that graphics card (Intel integrated?) is not capable enough for what WATCHOUT needs. What type is it? /jonas
