  1. What WO verision do you use ? What kind of image source do you use? Does it affect randomly or consistently?
  2. In the early days of WO6, there was the same problem when using INTEL cpu + NVIDIA gpu. In Win7, there was a frame drop In Win10, there was a problem with the frames being mixed. The solution at the time was to use AMD gpu. If this problem is caused by updating the wo version, the cause will be different. Is it the same if I downgrade the wo version?
  3. Have you updated your GPU drivers? In WO, WX9100 does not perform well with newer drivers than 2017 q4.1. Test with 2017 q4.1 version.
  4. This ripple is not an answer but an individual's opinion. When I look at the pictures you posted, GPU utilization when playback is not smooth is less compared to disk read speed. ------- 890MB/s read speed / GPU utilization 18% 445MB/s Read Speed/ GPU Utilization 3% ------ Since the HAP codec decodes the GPU, I think it would be better to look at GPU settings than storage bottlenecks. Isn't it a RADEON driver problem? ------ I'm just curious. Is the HW information in the picture the information on the display server? I think it'll be very helpful, what's the name of the program?
  5. I am using 1809 LTSC + A4000. The driver version is 472.98. There are no problems with decoding, including HAP.
  6. What display are you using? If the fade-out of 2 seconds is ignored, it may be a problem that the startup worked normally, but it is not displayed on the screen. There are display devices that adjust the brightness to save power when waiting for a long time in the black state. To test this, make an AUX that plays repeatedly, use it as a background, and test the control cue. Or, as you might expect, it could be an IO problem. Send control commands to production? It's more intuitive to see the results than sending it to a display server.
  7. LTC playback in WO and interlocking with peripherals is also used in the field. In my case, I had a similar experience when the LTC signal had insufficient volume or the original level of the LTC was broken due to simultaneous playback with other sources. Or the level is broken because the volume is too high. Try creating a new separate show to test or control the LTC code in preview mode in a production program.
  8. First of all, the method may have changed since it has been a long time since I have actually used it. Dome projection does not use 3D models. Measure the distortion value of each projection in several ways, Configure the stage accordingly. It also creates and places a matching masking image. When the saved file is loaded within WATCHOUT, Arranged stages can be checked. This is the 2D display stage we often see. It is not a 3D mapping projector that imports and uses 3D models.
  9. I don't know if the command you wrote is the function you want... first of all '.' is a space, '.' not this. If it does not work even after modification, send a command to another TCP/IP program before WO and check if it works. Usually the command is wrong. If that doesn't work, there is also a way to implement the desired function in the EXTRON program and check the code passed to snooping.
  10. Does using another WAV file still crash? Are log files created when crashes occur? If it is created, please pass it on to the dataton support team and they will analyze it.
  11. I'm just curious and ask a question. Will DATATON not be exhibiting at the 2022 ISE? Previously, it was fun to see new technologies and products every year. I know that HQ did not participate in ISE 2021 as well. I couldn't find DATATON on the ISE 2022 exhibitor list either. Is it because of COVID-19? Or is there another reason?
  12. thanks for the reply As Makoto said, it's not just the HAP codec that uses less CPU power, but other codecs are also affected. H.264 decoding uses CPU enough, but the symptoms are the same We mainly use Nvidia products. However, Nvidia does not have a product that outputs more than 5 channels. WO v6 supports 6 channels, right? So, I use WX9100 for projects that use 5 or 6 channels. It is said to be an AMD driver issue, but it is regrettable that symptoms that do not appear in other players only appear in WO. It's even more regrettable if it hasn't been fixed for several years.
  13. Actually, I think this issue is serious. To work with WATCHOUT I have to keep using 4 year old drivers that don't support the latest hardware. It is even more fatal when supply of graphics cards is difficult due to semiconductor issues like these days. What I am curious about is why is the graphic card changing to low power mode when WATCHOUT is decoding content? It is a graphics card that works normally even in a basic media player. But with advanced solutions like WATCHOUT, you don't know what's going on and you'll get poor performance. It's been known for years, but why hasn't it been fixed?
  14. Are other wav files the same? Is it the same when loading a different number of files? Were the log files created when the crash occurred? If so, please contact our support team.
  15. First of all, check the TIMECODE signal is coming into the WATCHOUT Server. Then use the Timecode reader in the Watchout folder. Visually check that the strength of the time code signal is strong enough.
  16. Dear jfk. Dataton isn't directly saying there's no way until Nvidia fixes it. I apologize for this part. However, the only answer suggested as a solution for the same symptom is to use an old driver(460.89). So I guess that's what I thought. 'Dataton is aware of the symptom and is resolving it.' or 'A patch is coming.' I've never seen such additional information before you tell me now. It was in May when the problem was raised on this forum. And five months passed. It's a different situation from the past due to the pandemic, but there hasn't been an update on this issue for 5 months. I hope to get a helpful update soon. Thanks.
  17. DATATON says there is no way until NVIDIA solves it. They just tell us to wait.
  18. When can I hear about watchout 7? Five years have passed since WATCHOUT 6 was released. In the field, there is a constant demand for better codecs (such as HEVC) and better features (such as HDR). When will I get information about WATCHOUT 7 other than minor upgrades such as bug fixes?
  19. When I place content on the stage by snap-in and check the position, sometimes the x value or y value is 1 px insufficient If the stage scale is large (for example, 1:1), the frequency of occurrence seems to decrease. In fact, it's been quite a while since this error was notified to Dataton Support, and there have been several updates, but it has not been fixed. What makes bug fixes so long?
  20. I fully agree with jfk's comment. Using BMD products in WATCHOUT has many problems in operating a stable system. The only advantage is the price compared to other products It is cheap.
  21. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/decklink/software As you can see from the link, the decklink family supports WDM drivers. In fact, I have used it normally in WO with Intensity Pro and SDI capture card. Double-check that the correct device is selected in the watchpoint settings. Also try changing the live input signal setting to a different type in the watchmaker.
  22. Thank you for Mike & RBeddig In camera-based calibration systems, I have seen that a suitable blending mask is created in a similar stage configuration. However, using a camera-based calibration system may not be possible depending on the site. To prepare for this, I am looking for a way to manually create a mask in WATCHOUT. In theory, it makes sense, but the WATCHOUT MASK tool has a lot of limitations. As RBeddig said, creating a mask for a sample requires a combination of top and bottom gradients and left and right gradients. However, using WATCHOUT or Photoshop is not easy.
  23. Hi. Mike. Thanks for the answer I don't want'good' blending for the current situation. However, I would like to prevent the black areas from becoming prominent or forming lines when masking is performed using the manual mask generator. Manual mask generation is likely to be used frequently in cases other than the examples provided. I would like to talk with the members about production tips and methods for these cases. And if you are okay, please explain more about 'The pixel at the intersecting edges must be 50% intensity, meaning that a 1 pixel error in alignment will be visible in that area'.
  24. Hello. Everyone on the forum I want to hear from you. The automatic edge blending of the watchout works great when the projectors are horizontally and vertically aligned. However, when the projector is not aligned, automatic edge blending is applied in only one direction, and normal edge blending is not possible. For this reason, I have to create a manual mask in the stage-mask tab or create a mask in another program and use it. The manually created mask does not properly handle the corners where the mask overlaps, resulting in poor blending effect. Can you share some tips or how to create a mask?
